Highlights:
Our emphasis falls into three broad catagories- worship, spiritual formation and growth, and ministry (which includes missions):
Worship is what we were created to do by God and is the most important part of our relationship with him.
Spiritual formation and growth represents the "new creature in Christ" which Jesus, as well as Paul and others, spoke about and concerns our learning to grow into Christian maturity (John 3:3, 1 Corinthians 5:16-17; Hebrews 5:14)- exhibiting the fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-24) in all which we say and do.
Ministry is defined as the good works God had planned for us to do (Ephesians 2:10) individually and corporately. First we are to be able to present the Good News (1 Peter 3:15), we are to use our spiritual gifts as God intended (1 Peter 4:7-11), we are to be involved in reconciliation (1 Corinthians 5:18-20), to care for others as for ourselves (John 15:1-17), and no matter what we do in word or deed to be seen doing for the glory of God through Christ (colossians 3:17).
